Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting utility infrastructure projects. This role focuses on the structural analysis and design of high-voltage transmission line systems, including steel poles and tower structures ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV.
This is a highly technical, design-focused position ideal for an engineer who enjoys structural analysis, utility infrastructure, and working on complex transmission projects from concept through final design.
Responsibilities:
- Design steel pole and transmission line structures for high-voltage utility applications
- Perform structural analysis, modeling, and component sizing using PLS-POLE
- Develop and review engineering drawings and design packages using AutoCAD
- Prepare calculations, sketches, redlines, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with drafting/detailing teams to support fabrication drawing development
- Communicate directly with customers regarding technical requirements and project decisions
- Apply industry and utility design codes and standards
- Support projects within scope, schedule, and budget requirements
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- 3 years of experience designing steel pole structures for transmission, substation, or distribution applications
- Proficiency with PLS-POLE and AutoCAD
- Experience with heavy structural steel fabrication and tower structures
- Strong understanding of NESC, ASCE, IEEE, AASHTO, AWS, and ASTM standards
- PE license is a plus
