Material Handler

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler to support our production operations on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for ensuring all machines are properly supplied with materials, components, and packaging while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Pay: $16.00 – $17.00/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities

Material Handling & Machine Support

• Ensure all machines are stocked with correct materials, blends, colorants, and components
• Supply packaging materials including polybags, boxes, screws, and WIP components
• Remove materials and components from completed jobs and return to proper locations
• Provide clean, empty containers (Gaylords) for scrap and production byproducts

Production Support

• Move finished goods from machines after scanning and stage for warehouse
• Wrap skids and prepare materials for storage or shipment
• Use internal systems (IQMS or work orders) to determine material requirements
• Return unused materials to inventory using proper scanning procedures
• Handle regrind materials according to job requirements

Process & Equipment Maintenance

• Mix resins and colorants per manufacturing specifications
• Dry resins according to production requirements
• Clean hoppers and material containers using designated equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding work areas

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous manufacturing or material handling experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus (training provided)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Basic computer/scanner experience preferred
