Speech Therapy Clinical Borough Supervisor

About the Role

Seeking a Part- to Full-time Clinical Borough Supervisor in Speech Therapy to support the daily operations of our SLP program serving the New York City Department of Education. Candidates must hold a valid NYS Speech Language Pathologist license.

This is a high-visibility clinical and administrative role that works directly with the Program Director, school administrators, and therapists. Work will be split between work in our Brooklyn office and in doing field work visiting school sites.

The Supervisor will help liaison with NYCDOE clinical representatives and school representatives, support complex therapist placements, troubleshoot staffing issues, and serve as a key liaison between schools, therapists, and internal teams.

A part-time role will require approximately 10-15 hours a week. Potential for more hours or a full-time role is possible.

Responsibilities

• Support daily SLP program operations.

• Coordinate complex or high-priority therapist placements.

• Troubleshoot staffing and service coverage issues across assigned schools.

• Serve as a liaison between NYCDOE personnel, school administrators, therapists, and internal staff.

• Assist with caseload assignments, schedule changes, and service adjustments.

• Provide guidance and support to staffing coordinators on complex cases.

• Assist with therapist onboarding, documentation, and administrative follow-up.

• Monitor program needs and help ensure continuity of services.

• Participate in program planning, reporting, and special projects.

Qualifications

Required

• NY State Speech Therapy License & Registration

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional presence when interacting with schools and NYCDOE personnel.

Preferred

• Experience as a therapist, therapy assistant, or clinical support staff, preferably 5 years.

• School-based or healthcare staffing experience.
