Key Responsibilities
- Perform pipe welding using Stick and TIG welding processes on carbon steel and other materials.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings and execute work according to project specifications.
- Fit, align, and weld pipe accurately while maintaining proper tolerances.
- Set up and operate personal welding rig and equipment in field conditions.
- Maintain weld quality in compliance with company standards and client specifications.
- Ensure all welds are properly marked, documented, and meet inspection requirements.
- Track daily production and complete required reports/logs.
- Identify hazards and proactively address safety concerns.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, equipment, and tools.
- Mentor helpers or less experienced welders as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pipe welding (field experience preferred).
- Must pass Company welding test.
- Strong ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and weld symbols.
- Knowledge of welding parameters, pipe fitting, and fabrication techniques.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work in various shifts and extend hours as needed to meet production targets.
- Must pass a pre-employment welding test, background check, and drug screening.
- Physically capable of handling heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
