Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound sterile parenteral and enteral medications, including chemotherapeutic agents, under pharmacist supervision.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of prescription order entry and delivery documentation.
- Participate in patient care meetings to provide pharmacy expertise and support.
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards and monitor results for pharmaceutical testing.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, logging, and organizing supplies.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Support pharmacists in daily operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance professional skills.
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Active CPhT certification from a nationally recognized program.
- Active RPhT with Florida Board of Pharmacy or LPN with Florida Board of Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience preparing parenteral/enteral medications, including IV antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents.
- Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and pharmacy software programs.
- Experience in infusion pharmacy operations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a team environment.
