Key Responsibilities

• Monitor room availability, reservations, and occupancy status using the hotel's property management system (PMS) to maximize room revenue and occupancy levels
• Assign guest rooms to arriving guests and ensure that rooms are allocated based on the guests' preferences, special requests, and estimated arrival times
• Coordinate with group coordinators, housekeeping, and engineering to manage room blocks for group reservations, ensuring efficient handling of group check-ins and check-outs
• Assist the guest services team in addressing guest requests related to room preferences, upgrades, and any other room-related queries
• Collaborate with the reservations team to manage room reservations, ensuring accuracy in room availability and proper documentation
• Facilitate effective communication between guest services, housekeeping, and other hotel departments regarding room status, maintenance requirements, and special guest requests
• Work closely with the revenue management team to implement strategies for maximizing room revenue and occupancy
• Generate and analyze room-related reports, including room availability, occupancy forecasts, and revenue statistics, providing insights to management for decision-making.

Education, Skills, And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Additional education in hospitality management or a related field is preferred
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage room inventory effectively
• Proficiency in using hotel property management systems (PMS) and reservation software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling room assignments and reservations
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various hotel departments
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in a front office or reservations role in the hospitality industry is preferred
• Experience with room inventory management and revenue optimization strategies is preferred
