Basic interests, attitudes and emotional development of students
Ability to use personal computer
Experience
Previous security experience preferred.

Major Responsibilities And Duties
- Work with administrators to maintain an orderly and safe school environment.
- Continuously monitor the internal and external parameters of the school campus.
- Meet buses in the morning to ensure student safety.
- Assist in conducting metal detector checks.
- Identify and greet visitors on the school campus to ensure they signed-in properly.
- Monitor for intruders that would threaten the safety of the school campus.
- Monitor and if necessary intervene to ensure appropriate student behavior with school rules.
- Monitor and report school graffiti, report maintenance and safety hazard; photograph graffiti and vandalism as required.
- Observe students during passing periods between classes.
- Assure student compliance with school and district rules and policies.
- Learn, interpret, apply and explain rules, policies and procedures.
- Understand and follow oral and written directives.
- Observe situations and accurately determine an effective course of action.
- Operate walkie-talkie as required.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and special events as needed.
- Punctuality in all areas.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Positive role model for students.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
