Job Overview
We’re hiring a Restaurant Supervisor to lead service at Mabel Lounge, the brand-new cocktail bar & kitchen at the recently remodeled Carlton Hotel in Atascadero.
This is a key leadership role for the outlet - you’ll be the on-site leader during service, working with a small team to deliver a warm, consistent, and well-run guest experience every night.

Duties
- Oversee nightly service across front and back of house (approximately 5 nights/week)
- Act as primary on-site leader with all staff reporting to this role during shifts
- Create staff schedules based on business levels
- Communicate employee issues including performance, attendance, and team dynamics to the Hotel GM
- Communicate directly with Hotel GM regarding all food & beverage operations
- Ensure consistency in service, food quality, and overall guest experience
- Greet and seat guests as needed and maintain presence on the floor
- Resolve guest concerns in real time with professionalism
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure proper nightly close
- Assign stations and responsibilities based on volume
- Step into service roles as needed (host, server, food runner, bar support)
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational standards
- Make real-time decisions to support service and staffing needs
Qualifications
- 3 years restaurant experience, with leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of both front and back of house operations
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to lead a small team and maintain a positive work environment
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions in real time
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with scheduling systems and POS platforms
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Schedule
- Evening shifts
- Approximately 5 nights per week
- Full-time
- Weekend availability required
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within the food industry, particularly in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining settings
- Strong background in food service management, including kitchen management, food production, catering, or banquet experience
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams, conducting training & development sessions, and overseeing shift management
- Experience in food safety protocols, inventory control, budgeting, and hospitality management is highly desirable
- Prior restaurant experience in customer service roles like serving or barista experience is advantageous
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage restaurant operations efficiently
