Experience: A minimum of 2 years of direct, patient-facing experience in eating disorders is required - ideally gained in an eating disorder facility setting where you managed a full spectrum of eating disorders using a long-term behavior-change approach.
Scope: This role is designed to deliver comprehensive care across a wide range of eating disorders using evidence-based, sustained behavior-change strategies.
Role Overview
We are seeking a 100% remote Registered Dietitian with extensive experience in eating disorder treatment and recovery. In this role, you will use evidence-based approaches, including motivational interviewing, CBT-informed nutrition counseling, and other therapeutic strategies to support patients in rebuilding a healthy relationship with food and body.
You bring expertise in working with individuals across the eating disorder spectrum, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and disordered eating patterns. Ideally, you have experience in a private practice or multidisciplinary treatment setting and excel at creating compassionate, individualized care plans that address both the nutritional and emotional aspects of recovery.
As part of the Everlong team, you will help patients navigate the psychological and behavioral challenges that accompany eating disorders. Your work will focus on promoting body attunement, reducing food-related anxiety, and guiding patients toward balanced, sustainable eating patterns that support overall health and well-being.

We are looking for a confident, outcomes-driven Registered Dietitian with deep expertise in eating disorder treatment and a grounded, compassionate approach to eating disorder recovery. Responsibilities
- Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop personalized care plans that address medical, behavioral, and emotional needs in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Meal Support: Facilitate individual and group meal and snack support sessions to help patients practice real-time recovery skills, normalize eating experiences, and strengthen confidence in food-related situations.
- Group Facilitation: Lead nutrition and recovery-focused groups that promote skill-building, body trust, and balanced eating behaviors in a supportive, therapeutic environment.
- Patient Communication: Respond to patient emails and other communications quickly, professionally, and efficiently, addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
- Patient Counseling: Provide compassionate, evidence-based 1:1 nutrition counseling for individuals with eating disorders and disordered eating. Support patients in restoring a healthy relationship with food through individualized care, goal-setting, and ongoing accountability.
- Charting & Documentation: Ensure accurate, timely charting of all patient interactions and document progress notes in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, align treatment goals, and ensure an integrated, patient-centered approach.
- Professional Accountability: Set firm expectations with patients, holding them accountable while consistently providing honest, effective counseling.
Skills/Requirements
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist: Must be a Registered Dietitian (RDN) in good standing with all required credentials.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with eating disorders, including disordered eating and food relationship challenges.
- Behavior-Change Expertise: Demonstrated ability to implement advanced behavior-change strategies, including motivational interviewing, goal-setting, and accountability techniques, in a direct and pragmatic manner.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to patient communications.
- Interpersonal Skills: Proven capability to build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with patients through clear, honest, and direct counseling.
- Organizational & Documentation Skills: Strong organizational abilities and a proven track record of maintaining accurate, timely charting and progress notes in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and as part of a remote team, actively participating in team meetings and contributing to a results-driven, supportive environment.
