Position Overview
The Field Installation Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, oversight, and success of their assigned branch. This role serves as the senior-most authority at the branch level and is accountable for warehouse operations, inventory integrity, and the successful execution of all field activities including new installations and service repairs. The Field Installation Manager plays a vital role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining branch standards, and ensuring team performance aligns with company KPIs and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Field Operations
- Oversee and manage all field operations including new installations, service repairs, and customer interactions.
- Ensure that all jobs are completed professionally, safely, and within the targeted timeframes.
- Monitor daily and weekly job schedules to align labor and material resources efficiently.
Branch & Warehouse Management
- Ensure the branch facility is clean, organized, and maintained to reflect the company's professional image.
- Enforce proper warehouse organization and inventory housekeeping protocols.
- Safeguard all inventory assets through accurate tracking, regular audits, and secure storage practices.
- Maintain proper inventory levels to ensure all scheduled jobs can be completed without delay.
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, onboard, train, and develop branch personnel.
- Provide direct supervision and coaching to field teams to improve performance and morale.
- Conduct performance evaluations and take appropriate corrective or developmental actions as needed.
- Maintain a strong, accountable, and safety-conscious team culture.
Fleet & Equipment Oversight
- Coordinate with the Inventory & Logistics Manager to ensure all branch-assigned fleet vehicles are maintained in safe, roadworthy condition.
- Monitor vehicle usage, report mechanical issues promptly, and schedule repairs to avoid downtime.
- Ensure trucks are fueled, stocked, and ready to roll—vehicle readiness is critical to operational continuity.
- Track and enforce proper vehicle use by team members.
Customer Satisfaction & Issue Resolution
- Act as the primary escalation point for branch-level operational issues or customer concerns.
- Work collaboratively with support departments (Customer Success, Product Support, Dispatch) to ensure timely resolutions.
Performance & KPI Accountability
- Monitor and drive branch performance using defined KPIs, including job completion rates, labor efficiency, install quality, and inventory accuracy.
- Identify trends and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce waste or rework.
- Report weekly on key performance metrics to upper management
- Maintain accurate records and submit information requests in a timely manner.
Additional Expectations
- Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed by the branch team.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment and lead by example in safety practices.
- Participate in regular leadership meetings and contribute to company-wide operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Prior experience managing a team in a field operations or warehouse setting required.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, scheduling, and workforce planning.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using operational tools and systems (e.g., WMS, CRM, project trackers).
- Valid driver's license; travel between job sites is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
