EverLife Advisors LLC is a rapidly growing insurance brokerage located in Salt Lake City, UT. We are looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our Operations team. This is a permanent W-2 employee role with an annual salary, full benefits, and long-term stability.
Position Overview
The Payroll Specialist will process bi-weekly payroll and help manage commissions for our internal employees and licensed agents. This role does not involve sales, production work, or income based on performance. It is a traditional payroll/operations position with consistent duties and compensation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all W-2 employees and contractors
- Review and calculate finalized commission reports (no selling or production required)
- Audit timecards, pay rates, commissions, and adjustments
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies with HR, Finance, and Operations
- Maintain payroll and employee records
- Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll laws
- Prepare payroll and commission summaries for leadership
- Assist with year-end tasks (W-2s, 1099s, audits)
- Provide support to employees on payroll and pay-related questions
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of payroll experience
- Experience processing commission-based payroll strongly preferred
- Solid knowledge of wage laws, deductions, taxes, and compliance
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (multiple commission sheets must be reconciled)
- Experience with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, Gusto, or similar)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and confidentiality
