Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Delivering Mail and Packages efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving background, with experience in various types of vehicles. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a high level of professionalism will be key to ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Operate Your Own Vehicle to and from the Post Office
• Execute route driving tasks efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and mechanical integrity.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients during pickups and deliveries.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery driver roles is essential..
• Strong understanding of route planning and navigation skills.
• Experience with heavy haul operations or yard jockey duties is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Previous warehouse experience or knowledge of freight handling is beneficial.
