Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Snowplow Operator to keep our parking lots and walkways safe during winter weather conditions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will operate snowplows on pickup trucks and related equipment to clear snow and ice from designated areas, ensuring safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help maintain operational efficiency and safety during challenging winter months. This is a part time/on-call position during this winter. As we approach spring a full time position may be offered to continue into our landscaping season. We do not control the weather and are at the mercy of it. You need to be reliable and ready to roll at a moments notice.
Responsibilities
- Operate snowplows, salt spreaders, and other snow removal equipment efficiently across assigned routes.
- Conduct thorough inspections of snow removal machinery before and after use to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor weather conditions continuously and ready to go at a moments notice.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including mechanical checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Assist with materials handling, such as loading salt or de-icing agents onto trucks or spreaders.
- Maintain accurate logs of work completed, including routes covered and materials used.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or equipment damage during snow removal operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery, preferably snowplows or similar equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on snow removal equipment.
- Ability to handle materials safely, including salt, sand, or de-icing agents.
- Strong attention to detail for quality inspection of equipment and work areas.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record IS A MUST.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods.
- Strong communication.
- Able to work under pressure and in stressful situations.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 55.0 per week
