About the Role:
Evergreen Silks NC Inc is looking for an Experienced Fine Art Framer to join our team with a full knowledge of framing practices., equipment and timelines. Our company has a 35 year history as a Minority Certified Company here in Matthews. We ship nationwide to a variety of Medical and General Corporate Customers. This is a hands-on role for a skilled craftsperson who takes pride in presenting artwork beautifully and professionally. If you have a passion for art, an eye for detail, and years of framing experience, we want to hear from you. Any Graphic Art Skills are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and assemble custom frames for fine art, prints, photography, and other artwork
- Perform precise mat cutting, including single, double, and decorative mat designs
- Mount and fit artwork using conservation and archival framing techniques
- Consult with customers to recommend framing styles, materials, and finishes that complement their artwork
- Operate and maintain framing equipment including computerized mat cutters, v-nailer, Brivetti double miter saw and glass cutters
- Manage multiple framing orders simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked framing workspace
Requirements:
- Proven experience in custom and fine art framing — intermediate to advanced skill level required
- Proficiency with professional framing tools and equipment
- Knowledge of conservation and archival framing standards and materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship and quality
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple projects
- Passion for art and design with a keen aesthetic eye
