Responsibilities
- Assist in ecological restoration projects by removing invasive plants, and managing habitat quality
- Operate hand tools, power tools such as chainsaws, pruners, and ground maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Use GPS devices and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology for data collection, site mapping, and project documentation
- Apply pesticides and herbicides following safety protocols to control invasive species and protect native flora
- Perform heavy lifting and physical labor required for project success
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or ecological restoration preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidate
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions; physically capable of heavy lifting and strenuous activity
- Must have transportation
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
