Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated HHA/CNA to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Help clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens.
- Collaborate effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health care, senior care, or hospice care preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Ability to cook and prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions or preferences of clients.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong observational skills to monitor client conditions and report changes accurately.
- Must be physically capable of lifting clients as required and assisting with mobility tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience in all interactions.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
