Duties

- Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and preparing detailed reports to support prosecution efforts.
- Enforce laws related to immigration, animal control, security breaches, and loss prevention while maintaining professionalism and fairness.
- Manage conflict situations effectively through conflict management techniques, de-escalating tense scenarios while preserving safety for all parties involved.
- Write clear, comprehensive reports documenting incidents, arrests, investigations, and daily activities for record-keeping purposes.
- Operate law enforcement vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; maintain proficiency in driving under various conditions.
- Utilize surveillance technology and conduct security checks to monitor premises or public events for suspicious activity or threats.
- Handle animals responsibly when involved in animal control cases or community outreach programs focused on animal care.
- Assist with community outreach initiatives to build positive relationships and promote safety awareness among residents.
Qualifications
- Proven ability in law enforcement practices with experience in report writing, criminal investigation techniques, and security procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; skilled in defensive driving strategies.
- Certifications in CPR and first aid are required; additional certifications such as surveillance or animal handling are advantageous.
- Strong leadership qualities with the capacity to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Background in military service or related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of immigration law relevant to local jurisdiction is a plus.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense encounters diplomatically.
