Duties

• Patrol designated areas regularly to deter crime and ensure public safety through vigilant surveillance and presence.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents, providing first aid or CPR as needed to stabilize individuals until medical professionals arrive.
• Conduct criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and preparing detailed reports to support prosecution efforts.
• Enforce laws related to immigration, animal control, security breaches, and loss prevention while maintaining professionalism and fairness.
• Manage conflict situations effectively through conflict management techniques, de-escalating tense scenarios while preserving safety for all parties involved.
• Write clear, comprehensive reports documenting incidents, arrests, investigations, and daily activities for record-keeping purposes.
• Operate law enforcement vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; maintain proficiency in driving under various conditions.
• Utilize surveillance technology and conduct security checks to monitor premises or public events for suspicious activity or threats.
• Handle animals responsibly when involved in animal control cases or community outreach programs focused on animal care.
• Assist with community outreach initiatives to build positive relationships and promote safety awareness among residents.

Qualifications

• Proven ability in law enforcement practices with experience in report writing, criminal investigation techniques, and security procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; skilled in defensive driving strategies.
• Certifications in CPR and first aid are required; additional certifications such as surveillance or animal handling are advantageous.
• Strong leadership qualities with the capacity to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Background in military service or related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of immigration law relevant to local jurisdiction is a plus.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense encounters diplomatically.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
