Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and building interior components to identify issues proactively.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on facilities equipment, including HVAC system repair, electrical work, plumbing system maintenance, carpentry, and painting.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to carry out repairs or installations across various building systems.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee the upkeep of building interiors to ensure aesthetic standards are met.
- Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs such as welding or advanced electrical work when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, schematics updates, and safety inspections in compliance with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) procedures.
- Lead or support team members in facilities maintenance tasks while demonstrating leadership qualities that promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical equipment repair, plumbing systems, HVAC systems (including HVAC system repair), and building interior maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical work, carpentry, welding, and maintenance painting.
- Strong understanding of facilities equipment maintenance practices within a hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and assist guests when needed.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with leadership qualities that motivate teams towards high standards of service and safety.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely while adhering to safety protocols; experience with maintenance MRO processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques alongside general building interior maintenance skills.
