About The Position
We are seeking a motivated Kennel Technician to join our team. The Kennel Technician is responsible for the cleaning, daily care, and overall well-being of dogs in our facility. This role ensures that all dogs are kept in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while receiving proper attention and care.
Job Requirements:
- At all times, we follow our safety standards and protocols
- Preparing meals and medications
- Laundry for the dog boarding area
- Strong sense of awareness with the ability to read dog body language
- Patience and empathy for the dogs in our care
Ideal Candidate:
- Prior professional or volunteer dog experience is preferred but not required
- We prefer working with staff who are starting or growing a career working with animals
- Candidates must be prepared to stand and walk for multiple hours consecutively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attentive to detail with cleaning and sanitizing protocols
- After training, the ability to conduct temperament assessments and manage play groups
- Understanding of animal behavior to minimize stress and promote relaxed play
- Motivated to contribute to a team with decades of experience in pet care
Schedule
We are currently hiring for both part-time and full-time employees
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible to work within our operating hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
