What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse Night Shift position at Evergreen Medical Center?
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ER nurse participates in the delivery of individualized patient care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
· Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
· Current Alabama Nursing License
· BCLS, ACLS certified. TNCC, PALS and/or NALS strongly preferred
· Assertive person with good communication skills. Must be flexible with schedule.
· Participates with the nurse management team
· Should possess strong clinical skills
· Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and ability to lift or assist lifting patients and/or equipment
