Job Summary:
Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness is currently seeking a part time temporary Medicaid Approval Specialist to assist in the completion of Medicaid applications and conversions. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience in the Medicaid application and approval process for Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Essential Functions:
- Review and process Medicaid applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete, accurate and obtaining missing required documents.
- Processing of all appropriate forms applicable for state requirements.
- Monitor and document the progress of the pending Medicaid cases.
- Work in collaboration with the facility Business Office staff to coordinate efforts to approval.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of Medicaid system and application process.
- Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team, work collaboratively with other departments and outside contacts.
- Must be organized, exceed deadlines, communicate well with others using phone and/or email.
- Background in human services preferred.
