Essential Functions:
- Responsible for assigned aspects of third-party government payer reimbursement. This includes Medicare, Medicaid, and other Governmental Cost Report filings, audits and appeals, State provider tax programs.
- Completes regulatory filings for assigned states and/or service lines that are mandated by governmental regulations and laws in a timely manner maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develops expertise in assigned reporting areas to gain an understanding of the data reporting needs and challenges.
- Monitors changes in the regulatory environment with a focus on identifying reimbursement opportunities.
- Present findings, issues, and action plans as requested to leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of three years’ progressive experience focusing on regulatory reporting or equivalent job experience in the health care industry required
- Must have working knowledge of computers, both hardware and software. Ability to work independently on computer applications with a minimum of supervision/training.
