Maintenance Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:

Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center is accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant to assist with general maintenance responsibilities throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Read blueprints and manuals.
• Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment.
• Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment
• Repair plaster and drywall.
• Maintain plumbing system and fixtures
  
  
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Required: General experience in equipment maintenance; demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials
• Required: Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to physical plant problems.
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of HVAC
• Preferred: Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations.
  
  
  

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Required: Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Preferred: Industry experience or similar general maintenance and repair background
