Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the team at Evergreen, we value a positive, “can-do” attitude and a willingness to contribute wherever needed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading Activities: Facilitate a variety of engaging activities for groups of 3-4 up to 10-15 seniors. These activities may include:
• Fitness: Chair yoga, stretch band exercises, Tai Chi, nature walks.
• Cognitive: Small group activities, short-term memory games.
• Musical: Karaoke, musical bingo, group singing.
• Reflective: Mindful breathing, open discussions.
• Additional activities as needed.
• Technical Skills: Operate various activity systems including TVs, the Rendever VR system, and the StoriiCare computer scheduling system.
• Meal Assistance: Share meals with members during program times, providing assistance as needed, and help with setting up and cleaning up.
• Personal Care Support: Provide respectful and dignified care, encouraging independence and celebrating small victories. This includes toileting reminders, occasional incontinence care, and assisting with member transfers and light personal care.
• Studio Setup and Maintenance: Assist in setting up and breaking down the studio, which may involve lifting items up to 15 pounds, as well as light cleaning duties like sweeping and wiping surfaces.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in all required meetings and training sessions.

Required Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience leading and creating activities for seniors.
• Experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and empathy.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and readiness to meet the varying needs of each day.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Dress Code: All Member Advocates must adhere to the Employee Dress Code.

• Expected Hours: 15-20 hours per week
