Role Description This is a part-time or full-time, on-site Licensed Professional Counselor (or provisional license in WV) role based in Parkersburg, WV. The counselor will provide individual and, when appropriate, group counseling, conduct intake assessments, and develop treatment plans aligned with clients’ goals. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, coordinating care with other providers as needed, and adhering to professional and legal standards. The role may involve integrating mind–body or somatic approaches where appropriate, participating in case consultation, and contributing to a supportive, collaborative clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (or equivalent) in the state of West Virginia or Provisional License in WV (Supervision is included, by an WVALPS approved Supervisor)
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related behavioral health field.
- Demonstrated experience providing individual psychotherapy and conducting clinical assessments and treatment planning.
- Strong skills in maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation and working within ethical and legal guidelines.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary providers and communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Interest or experience in holistic, mind–body, or somatic therapeutic approaches is highly beneficial.
- Commitment to culturally responsive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory practice with diverse populations.
- Reliable on-site presence in Vienna, WV and ability to manage a part-time or full-time caseload.
