Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them find the right cannabis products based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos and clear communication
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and handle cash register operations with integrity
- Maintain accurate stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and conducting regular inventory checks
- Assist with product demos to highlight new or featured items, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations by verifying customer identification and adhering to age restrictions
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments with strong cash handling skills
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for accurate transaction processing and cash drawer management
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or training new staff
- Ability to conduct engaging product demos to educate customers about product benefits and usage
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Excellent communication skills combined with friendly phone etiquette for professional customer interactions
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
- Previous experience in grocery stores or similar retail settings enhances your ability to adapt quickly in our fast-paced environment
