Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily transportation schedules for residents, including medical appointments, recreational outings, and community events.
- Utilize transportation management systems and GPS technology to plan optimal routes, monitor vehicle locations, and ensure timely arrivals.
- Manage dispatching operations by assigning drivers, tracking vehicle status, and adjusting plans as needed to accommodate changing schedules or emergencies.
- Maintain accurate data entry
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, drivers, and external vendors via multi-line phone systems while practicing professional phone etiquette.
- Oversee shipping & receiving processes related to transportation logistics, including freight handling and coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
- Support fleet management activities by tracking vehicle maintenance schedules, fuel usage, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies or areas for improvement in routing or scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations related to transportation services within the assisted living environment.
Experience
- Proven experience working with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics, freight handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally while demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating transportation data to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Experience in dispatching roles within healthcare or senior living environments is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in data entry
Pay: $16.25 - $17.50 per hour
