Position Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) to ensure optimal operation of our industrial equipment and facilities. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems, support production by minimizing downtime, and maintain accurate maintenance records. This is a day-shift role reporting to the Maintenance Manager and requiring strong troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures to minimize equipment downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Perform installations, modifications and adjustments to equipment and components as needed.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and promote safe work practices in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment histories and parts inventories using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Assist with machine setup, changeovers and production support to ensure on-time operations.
• Perform basic preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, including alignment, lubrication, belt replacements and electrical testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical disciplines preferred.
• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills; experience with motors, drives, controls, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and CMMS software.
• Proficient with hand and power tools, electrical testing equipment and basic measurement tools.
• Certifications such as OSHA 10, forklift operator, or electrical trade certifications are a plus.
• Experience with PLCs and VFDs are desirable.
