(Madeline English and Albert N. Parlin School)
Description: Madeline English and Parlin School's third and fourth-grade level teams will meet weekly with an instructional coach to develop a process for implementing grade-level instructional practices, focusing on leveraging student voice and student-centered groupings.
During the school year, team members will meet weekly after school with their teams to review curriculum maps, pacing guides, common assessments, and anchor texts, thereby internalizing the curriculum and collaboratively planning for effective and equitable student-centered instruction. Team members will communicate frequently with the Madeline English and Parlin Administration and Instructional Coaches.
Working Time:
School Year Dates: Weekly times (60 minutes/week) for team members to meet with Madeline English and Parlin Administration and Instructional Coaches.
Requirements:
- Current member of Madeline English and Parlin School grade 3 or grade 4 team (classroom teacher, special education teacher, or EL teacher)
- Instructional coach or ELL coach at the English and Parlin School
- Create plans to support the implementation of instructional practices that support all learners, including English language learners and students with disabilities.

- Strong growth mindset and collaborative skills
- Student-centered approach to literacy instruction with high expectations for student achievement.
Essential Duties:
- Attend weekly meetings.
- Participate in protocols to analyze student work and determine instructional actions.
- Participate in unit unpacking and lesson internalization protocols that support needs and opportunities for growth identified through analysis of data and student work.
- Plan materials, scaffolds, and resources that support increased reading and writing outcomes for students.
- Outline and implement the identified next steps back in the classroom with students.
Compensation:
Up to $1,200, based on $40/ hr for 30 weekly meetings at each school setting after school
Number of Positions: 16 at English and 17 at Parlin
