Description

Everett Public Schools is seeking a Technology Support provider for its CTI Culinary Arts adult-training program. This individual will provide on-site assistance with the basic technology needs associated with instruction, online platforms, and industry-recognized certification preparation and testing. The successful candidate is not required to hold an information technology position but must be comfortable using digital systems and troubleshooting common technology problems.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated comfort using computers, Chromebooks, web browsers, email, online learning platforms, and digital testing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot common technology problems and provide clear, patient assistance to adult learners.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and determine when an issue should be referred to district technology staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively with participants who have varying levels of technology experience.
• Prior experience supporting technology in an educational, training, testing, or workplace setting preferred.
• Availability to provide on-site support during assigned program hours, particularly during technology-dependent instruction and certification preparation or testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technology support during scheduled program activities, certification preparation, and testing.
• Assist participants and instructors with accessing computers, Chromebooks, online platforms, digital instructional materials, and certification systems.
• Help participants create accounts, log in to required platforms, reset passwords, and navigate online testing systems.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, internet-connectivity, browser, audio, display, printing, and login issues.
• Assist with preparing, distributing, collecting, and securing program technology and related equipment.
• Confirm that devices, internet connections, and required platforms are functioning before scheduled certification activities.
• Help participants build the basic digital skills needed to complete program assignments and certification requirements.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate district technology staff when necessary.
• Communicate technology concerns, recurring issues, and equipment needs to the Program Manager.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality and follow district expectations for technology use and data security.
• Participate in required program meetings and planning activities.
• Complete other program-related responsibilities as assigned by the Program Manager or Director of Career and Technical Education.

Compensation

The Technology Support provider will be compensated at a rate of $40.00 per hour for up to 74 hours, with maximum total compensation of $2,960 over the cohort period. This is a grant-funded position (Career Technical Initiative; Commonwealth Corporation), and hours are contingent upon program enrollment, scheduling, continued grant funding, and successful completion of assigned responsibilities.
