Working closely with our Zurich-based Marine team, you will play a central role in managing an established portfolio while identifying and developing new opportunities across Europe and the wider international market. You’ll be working across a diverse and technically interesting portfolio including: Cargo, Hull and Liability Energy (Upstream, Downstream, Renewables) Both proportional and excess of loss business This role offers end-to-end exposure — from client engagement and deal origination through to pricing, portfolio oversight and strategic input. What You’ll Be Doing Underwriting and growing a profitable Marine & Energy treaty portfolio Helping define and execute market and underwriting strategies Building and maintaining strong broker and client relationships across international markets Identifying and securing new business opportunities Partnering with actuarial and analytics teams to ensure robust pricing approaches Supporting portfolio monitoring, accumulation management and exposure oversight Representing Everest in the market at client meetings, broker engagements and industry events Collaborating across a global network, including teams in Zurich, London, New Jersey and beyond Who This Role Will Suit We’re interested in connecting with individuals from a range of Marine backgrounds, including: Marine Treaty Underwriters looking for a broader, more strategic role Marine Reinsurance Brokers seeking to transition into underwriting Marine Insurance professionals who are looking to move into the reinsurance space What You’ll Bring Experience working within Marine & Energy insurance or reinsurance markets Strong understanding of international Marine business and market dynamics Ability to build credibility and relationships with brokers and clients Commercial mindset with strong analytical and pricing awareness A collaborative approach and confidence working across global, cross-functional teams Strong communication and negotiation skills A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, suited to a lean and entrepreneurial environment Why Everest?
