About the Role
Everest Multi Tech is seeking a Network & Systems Administrator Intern to support daily IT operations, business networks, workstations, user accounts, and technical support. This is an on-site, hands-on internship working under the supervision of experienced technicians.
Responsibilities
- Assist with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and network cabling.
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, connectivity, printer, and workstation issues.
- Support Windows systems, Microsoft 365, user accounts, permissions, and software setup.
- Assist with system updates, endpoint security, backups, and device configuration.
- Maintain network diagrams, equipment inventories, IP records, and technical documentation.
- Respond to assigned support tickets and escalate advanced issues.
- Assist with network installations, upgrades, and supervised client-site projects.
- Follow company procedures for security, privacy, and customer system access.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or technical program in Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and Windows systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow technical procedures and work professionally with customers.
- Reliable and available to work on-site in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, VPNs, or UniFi.
- Previous help-desk, home-lab, or networking-lab experience.
- CompTIA A , Network , Security , Cisco CCST, or CCNA certification is preferred but not required.
