Job Title: UX Jr. Researcher

Overview:
Seeking a UX Researcher passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences through rigorous usability testing and human-centered design. In this role, you will conduct design research in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with clients, product managers, designers, and developers. This position requires strong knowledge of human-centered design principles and research methods, along with the ability to translate insights into impactful product and design decisions. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities- Understand project needs and requirements at early and ambiguous stages to define clear research goals.
- Identify the appropriate research methods and recruit target audiences to achieve research objectives.
- Prioritize and plan iterative usability testing to gather feedback, assess current state experiences, and validate design concepts against user and business goals.
- Conduct moderated and unmoderated usability tests, including developing testing protocols, discussion guides, and analysis plans.
- Analyze research findings and translate them into actionable insights aligned with user needs, product goals, quantitative data, existing research, competitor analysis, and secondary research.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and developers to integrate research insights into product design and development; advocate for user needs throughout the process.
- Clearly communicate research strategies, methodologies, insights, and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Apply user-centered design principles and accessibility standards to evaluate existing and proposed designs.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve research and design processes by staying current with the latest UX research tools, methods, and best practices.
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, or related design discipline.
- 1–3 years of qualitative design research experience with proven success delivering outcomes in a non-academic setting; healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Experience with a range of UX research methods, including remote and in-person usability testing, heuristic evaluation, task analysis, survey design, persona development, journey mapping, and co-creation workshops.
- Proficiency with UX research tools (e.g., UserZoom/UserTesting, Contentsquare, Medallia, Pendo); familiarity with prototyping tools is a plus (e.g., Figma, vibe coding platforms).
- Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and accessibility standards; experience with assistive technologies is a plus.
