NOTE – Hybrid work (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Candidates must be current US residents with valid work authorization.

Payrate is in the range between $95/hr and $115/hr on W-2 (DOE)

Our client is looking for a Senior Physical Design Engineer to help create next generation data converters for world class test equipment. This is a small team environment, that has a history of very successful devices that have been designed into our industry leading test and measurement equipment. You'll find their System on Chip (SoC) solutions embedded in instruments in labs all over the world.

Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Physical Design Engineer you will be responsible for implementation flow from synthesized netlist to GDS including: floorplan, power grid design, place and route, CTS, STA, and signoff. Engineers will also aid in the analysis of area or timing challenging blocks and help to improve the quality of the overall physical design flow.

Required Skills:

7 years experience in physical design, involving multiple successful tape-outs

Experience with moderate to large designs involving frequencies in excess of 500MHz.

In depth knowledge of Synopsys ICC2

Experience in Perl/Python/TCL language programming

You must be able to communicate effectively with both team members and external partners.

Work effectively in a group setting (share expertise, provide and receive feedback, communicate technical issues, work in a team environment to resolve technical issues)

Additional Skills:

Experience with an analog design flow (Cadence Virtuoso)

Experience working in a mixed-signal design environment

Experience with EM-IR drop analysis (Redhawk)
