About Everdale Builders

Everdale Builders is a growing general contractor serving residential and commercial clients throughout Maryland. We specialize in renovations, additions, insurance restoration, outdoor living spaces, tenant improvements, and commercial construction projects. Our mission is to deliver exceptional craftsmanship, clear communication, and an outstanding client experience from start to finish.

We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Construction Project Manager to oversee active job sites and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

This is a field-based position that works directly with our Operations & Development Manager and serves as the primary on-site representative for Everdale Builders. This role requires regular travel to job sites throughout Maryland. While many of our projects are located in Central Maryland, candidates should be comfortable traveling wherever our work takes us.

This position is more than managing active construction projects. You'll also play an important role during pre-construction by assisting with estimating, client consultations, and project planning to help ensure every project is set up for success before work begins.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates well, solves problems proactively, and wants to grow with a company that's expanding throughout Maryland.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Lead, supervise, and hold subcontractors and field crews accountable for quality, productivity, safety, and schedule.
  • Coordinate daily job site activities and ensure all trades are working efficiently together.
  • Keep projects on schedule and proactively address delays before they impact the project.
  • Monitor labor, materials, and production to help keep projects on budget.
  • Perform routine quality control inspections throughout each phase of construction.
  • Identify issues early and communicate solutions with the Operations & Development Manager.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, building codes, and company standards.
  • Coordinate inspections and assist with permit requirements.
  • Verify material deliveries and ensure crews have everything needed to stay productive.
  • Help track and manage company tools, equipment, and job site assets to ensure they are accounted for, properly maintained, and available when needed.
  • Assist in documenting project changes and gathering the information needed to prepare and process change orders.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
  • Document project progress with photos, notes, and daily updates using Monday.com, CompanyCam, PollyCam, Connecteam, and Everdale Builders' in-house Client Portal.
  • Become proficient with Everdale Builders' Client Portal to access project information, communicate updates, and maintain accurate project records.
  • Complete project punch lists and assist with final project closeout.
  • Assist with project estimating by performing site measurements, documenting existing conditions, reviewing project scopes, and providing field input to support accurate estimates.
  • Attend client consultations as needed to assess project feasibility, gather project information, answer construction-related questions, and represent Everdale Builders professionally.
  • Collaborate with the Operations & Development Manager during pre-construction planning to identify potential challenges, constructability concerns, and opportunities for improved project execution.
  • Represent Everdale Builders professionally and provide an exceptional customer experience throughout every project.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 5 years of experience in construction project management or field supervision.
  • Experience managing residential construction, commercial construction, or both.
  • Proven experience leading subcontractors and field crews.
  • The ability to successfully manage multiple active job sites simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience assisting with project estimating or conducting client consultations is a plus.
  • Comfort using smartphones, tablets, and construction management software in the field.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • The ability to travel to job sites throughout Maryland as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
  • Experience with remodeling, additions, insurance restoration, tenant improvements, and commercial construction.

Technology You'll Use

Training is provided, but candidates should be comfortable learning and using technology in the field.

You'll regularly use:

  • Monday.com
  • CompanyCam
  • PollyCam
  • Connecteam
  • Everdale Builders Client Portal

Compensation & Schedule

  • Competitive hourly pay starting at $40/hour, with higher compensation available based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
  • Typical workload of 35–45 hours per week, depending on project needs.
  • Flexible schedule based on project demands.
  • Employment classification will be determined during the hiring process.
  • Opportunities for advancement, increased responsibility, and professional growth as Everdale Builders continues to expand.
