Job Summary:
As the Full-Time Activities Director at Evercare at Stearns, you will have the unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents by creating a vibrant and engaging community. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, promoting socialization, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead activities, programs, and events that promote socialization, recreation, and wellness among residents
- Create and maintain a comprehensive activities calendar, ensuring a diverse range of programming to meet the needs of our residents
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address the needs of our residents, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's, and other special needs
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer activity assistants to support program implementation
- Evaluate and improve activity programs, collecting feedback from residents and staff to ensure ongoing quality and relevance
- Develop and manage activity budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal use of resources
- Maintain accurate records and reports of activity participation, attendance, and evaluations
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience in activities direction or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., recreation, gerontology, or social work) preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical duties as needed
