Essential Responsibilities:
- Structure a learning environment that promotes child health and safety.
- Plan and lead classroom instruction that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children.
- Actively engage with families to ensure parents/caregivers are knowledgeable about the child’s program.
- Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including the incorporation of transitions and age-appropriate opportunities.
- Create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for students that is conducive to learning.
- Support implementation of behavior plans and/or IFSP/IEP goals, as appropriate.
Requirements (Must have at least one of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
- NYS Teacher Certificate Birth-Grade 2 or Equivalent
