What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Refrigeration Technician position at Ever Kold Refrigeration Svc?
Ever Kold Refrigeration is seeking a new member for our team of service technicians. We are a small family-owned commercial refrigeration company based in Livonia. This is a full-time, permanent position paying up to $50.00 per hour.
Responsibilities include:
-Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-ins, coolers, freezers, and ice machines.
-Operate tools, gauges, and other testing equipment for refrigeration systems.
-Complete all required documentation including customer bills, weekly time log, refrigerant usage log, and document all parts used for each job.
Requirements
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical certificate preferred
-High degree of mechanical aptitude
-Previous maintenance/repair experience
-Possess a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record, and able to drive multiple hours daily
-Willing and able to pass a federal and state criminal background check and drug screening
-Able to work during normal business hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday
-Able to work overtime and on-call outside of normal business hours, as required
-Able to be on-call 1 evening per week and every 4th weekend
-Able to go up ladders, lift up to 100 lbs, kneel, squat, bend
-Able to work in noisy, hot, cold, slippery, wet, dirty conditions
-High degree of accountability and professional demeanor
-Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
