Quality Assurance Technician Level I

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 3:45am to 3:45pm

Quality Assurance Technician Level I

Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 3:45am to 3:45pm
Job Summary: Responsible for performing Quality Assurance testing and ensuring Food Safety and Quality in Ever Fresh Fruit Products, Raw Materials, Packaging, Equipment, Facility, etc.
Essential Functions:
- Perform all procedures accurately and according to written Work Instructions and SOPS as indicated in the Quality Assurance SOP manual.
- Responsible for maintaining GMPs throughout the facility both within the QA department and all other departments.
- Perform pre-operational inspections.
- Provide Production support.
- Monitor and adhere to HACCP plans, reporting and performing corrective action when necessary.
- Perform Product Quality testing (brix, pH, pressure, USDA grades, etc.).
- Perform Product documentation control, reviewing, scanning and filing.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute ratio and percent.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Frequently required to stand.
- Frequently required to walk.
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers.
- Continually required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to lift/push light weights up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral, depth, and ability to adjust or focus.
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Exposure to temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. More extreme temperatures possible during summer months.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to high, precarious places.
- Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
- Exposure to extreme cold.
- Exposed to a loud working environment.
- Exposed to hazards in the workplace such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving parts, and electrical current.
