1099 Part-Time Clinician Contractor

• $65/hr per session (first six month probationary period), then 60/40 split
• We manage credentialing, marketing, EHR, and scheduling, and provide a furnished office
• Minimum 10 clinical slots (preferably Wednesday through Saturday)
• This is a part-time position. A clinician can expect to earn about $450-$700/week depending on hours available.

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor (LPC, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW) to provide comprehensive mental health services within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, individuals, couples, families, and those experiencing trauma or mental health crises. We are especially hopeful to find someone who enjoys working with people with SUD, process addictions, and couples. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual, group, and family counseling to promote emotional well-being and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using clinical research methods and ICD coding standards (ICD-9, ICD-10).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing mental health issues or behavioral challenges.
• Engage in crisis management and crisis intervention to support patients during acute episodes or emergencies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate home & community care efforts and case management strategies.
• Collect data for clinical research projects while maintaining detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding for accurate diagnosis documentation.
• Provide counseling services to individuals, couples & families with wide-ranging diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, SUD, and personality disorders.
• Maintain professional development through ongoing training in medical terminology, patient care techniques, and emerging mental health practices.

Experience

• Proven experience in mental health counseling within clinical settings such as hospitals or community clinics.
• Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management, and trauma-informed care such as PTSD treatment.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and managing acute mental health episodes.
• Knowledge of medical documentation standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering compassionate care.
