Senior Painter- 4/10 Work Schedule
Rustica is seeking a Senior Painter to bring our custom wood doors and components to life through exceptional finishing. This role is critical to delivering the high-end quality Rustica is known for, ensuring each piece meets our standards while contributing to process improvements and overall efficiency within the paint department.
Job Details:
- Apply high-end finishes on wood and metal doors and door components
- Oversee final door and component prep and paint application, including paint mixing, spraying, and use of varnish, enamel, lacquers, and other finishes
- Ensure quality standards are met on every product and address rework as needed
- Help train and guide painters on techniques, standards, and best practices
- Maintain and troubleshoot painting equipment and tools
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Support production schedules and help ensure deadlines are met
Requirements:
- Proven experience painting wood and metal surfaces, preferably in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and color matching
- Ability to lead by example and support the development of other team members
- High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership over finished product quality
- Process-minded with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally and stand for 8 hours per day
