Eventstar is a hiring a Buyer to keep our projects stocked with the right materials, at the right price, right on time. You'll handle requisitions and purchase orders from start to finish, negotiate with vendors, and keep our internal customers informed along the way.

Responsibilities
- Create, award, and track purchase orders and requisitions using our company software
- Process field-order requisitions quickly and keep requesters updated on their status
- Issue material change orders and review project specifications for compliance
- Review and approve material invoices, and request credits for pricing errors or returns
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery to fit each project's budget and schedule
- Compare quotes to find savings, and help review vendor contract terms
- Build strong relationships with key local suppliers and trade partners
- Track vendor performance and resolve issues, logging any non-conformance
- Manage lead times and logistics so materials arrive just in time
- Watch for cost increases and act early to protect pricing on active projects
- Reduce the impact of delays, price changes, and other surprises
- Collect manufacturer rebates on time
- Keep product warranties, expiration dates, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and flame certificates organized
- Handle cost information confidentially
- Recommend improvements to our purchasing processes, systems, and policies
Requirements
- Bachelors' degree, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- 4 years of purchasing experience
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Highly organized, able to judge priorities and hit deadlines
- Calm and professional under pressure, and persistent with follow up
- Quick to learn new software and processes, and eager to grow your role over time
- A confident negotiator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
