Eventide Sheyenne Crossings Senior Living Apartments in West Fargo, ND is seeking a Coffee Shop Assistant to work part time 945a-1p. No weekends required. Includes holiday rotation.
This position greets and serves customers in the Coffee and Gift Shop (if applicable) in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner. The Coffee Shop Assistant is responsible for the overall day to day function of the Coffee Shop by preparing and/or directing the preparation of food and drinks to be served to all customers complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, and following established food productions programs and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Provides excellent customer service to all customers including residents/tenants, staff, and guests.
- Serves menu items according to portion control standards.
- Stocks food and beverage items as assigned.
- Performs cleaning in the coffee shop to include equipment, work area, and seating areas.
- Operates all functions of the cash registers including; following proper procedures for opening and closing cash register, handling money and making correct change, utilizing credit card machine, and entering items and amounts into the POS system.
- Operates coffee shop equipment and safely navigates heat exposure risk near ovens and steamers.
- Organizes and plans work schedule to correlate with service times.
- Serves/organizes items for catering events.
- Follows food safety and sanitation protocols by ensuring that food is stored, labeled, and handled appropriately.
Ideal Candidate
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required.
- Prefer completion of food safety and sanitation course or ability to become certified in ServSafe or similar program.
Compensation
At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $16-17.92 for Coffee Shop Assistants per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
