Delivery Driver / Warehouse Lead

Chairs For Affairs in Concord, CA is looking for a warehouse/delivery driver and crew lead to join our team. We are located at 140 Mason Cir Ste J in Concord.

We are looking for a driver/lead. This job includes loading and unloading trucks, delivery and setup of tables, chairs, tents and other inventory, loading and unloading inventory into and out of customer vehicles, and cleaning chairs and tents. The driver is also responsible for communication with clients and front office, leading employees, maintaining a safe environment and general responsibility for all aspects of orders. 

Hours are generally between 7am-5pm but weekends typically involve late night pickups or early morning deliveries (May-Nov). Overtime is fairly regular and required in the high season. Position is full year round (though we have a very slow off season) and there is a 60 day probationary period. We have some flexibility in scheduling but applicant must have a fairly flexible schedule. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather. This is a very physical job. Applicant must be able to pass a drug test as well as a physical skills test. We are ideally looking for someone over the age of 25, with light commercial driving experience and a clean record - experience in event rental business a bonus. Leadership or management experience also a bonus. Employee would not be driving initially and would train as a warehouse delivery assistant first and progress to driver-in-training within the first 60 days if qualified. 

Training rate starts at $22 per hour during the first 60 days, with bonuses and overtime available. Initial interviews for qualified applicants are conducted and then a half day paid working interview will be scheduled to help determine compatibility. Pay range $24-32 (which includes bonuses).
