Position Summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the effective management of armed security associates, including overseeing manpower, scheduling, timecards, training, and filling in as needed. This role also involves liaising with clients and vendors, approving invoices, and ensuring seamless operations to meet client expectations. Armed security experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the designated Private Patrol Operator (PPO) for the company, overseeing compliance with all applicable regulatory and operational requirements.
- Oversee and maintain the physical office location in New Mexico, ensuring all records are properly stored and readily available for inspection.
- Ensure the company’s Private Security License and PPO Manager credentials remain active and in compliance with requirements set by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department.
- Supervise and manage armed security associates, including scheduling shifts, approving timecards, and ensuring adequate coverage for events and security needs.
- Conduct training sessions and ensure ongoing development for security associates to maintain high standards of performance and compliance.
- Fill in as needed for armed security associates to provide coverage during absences or high-demand periods.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors, addressing inquiries, coordinating services, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Review and approve invoices related to security services and operations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to company standards and client requirements.
- Assist with emergency response as needed, coordinating with security staff and external agencies to manage incidents effectively.
- Travel to different event sites or facilities as required for on-site management, client meetings, and emergency response, ensuring a high level of flexibility and availability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in armed security management, with a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
- Experience in managing a licensed New Mexico private patrol company.
- Possess a New Mexico Private Patrol Operator License or be a registered Level Three Security Guard in good standing.
- Passed or can pass the Jurisprudence Examination for Private Security administered by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, including scheduling, training, and conflict resolution.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
