Parking Meter Field Technician

Evens Time is looking for a Parking Meter/Field Technician to join our team! The Technician will be based out of our Indianapolis office and is responsible for installation as well as reactive, routine, and preventive maintenance on parking meters and other maintenance focused on beautifying the city. The pay is $18.00- $19.00 per hour. A valid driver's license is required. You must be willing to undergo an extensive background check and submit to regular drug testing.

It will generally be a mix of 25% walking and 75% driving. You must be comfortable walking and standing for long periods.

The role is based in Downtown Indianapolis and requires travel in a service vehicle to various sites across Indianapolis, Broad Ripple, and the surrounding areas. Knowledge of this area is highly advantageous.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-5:00 pm, and sometimes until 10:00 pm, with on-call rotation as required. Not every week will require you to work past 5:00 pm, but some days will. You are required to work overtime and be on call as needed.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience with general maintenance work.
• Trade qualification in electronics or equivalent technical education.
• Removal of graffiti, straightening poles, and using various power tools. (willing to train)
• Any concrete or cement experience would be beneficial. (not required, but must be willing to learn)
• Is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills, and excellent communication.
• He/she will have a proven track record of client satisfaction and is motivated to provide superior service.
• Must have professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all team members, clients, and members of the public.

Highly Regarded:

• Parking Meter Maintenance experience.
• Experience in repairing gaming, pinball, or card payment machines.
• Ability to safely drive a service vehicle.
• Ability to work without supervision.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License.
• Able to pass a background check required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage your workflow consistently and in a timely manner.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physically able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of all safety requirements and must adhere to all safety requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation to the downtown Indianapolis job site.
