What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Evenglow Senior Living?
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist in family planning and reproductive health services
- Support patients with behavioral health needs and provide counseling as necessary
- Coordinate discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions for patients
- Assist with coding and documentation of patient records
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families
- Assist in neonatal ventilator management and care
- Perform sonography procedures as required
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Assist with procedures such as spinal taps and sutures
Experience:
- Must have a valid LPN license
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
