Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment including industrial washers, dryers, garment care machines, and dry cleaning units with precision and care.
- Perform laundry services such as washing, drying, folding, pressing, and sorting textiles according to established procedures.
- Handle materials safely using push carts and manual handling techniques to transport linens and garments throughout the facility.
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly using laundry detergents, stain removers, and other cleaning agents while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ensure proper garment care by inspecting textiles for damage or stains and reporting issues promptly.
- Follow safety standards in production areas by wearing appropriate protective gear and adhering to safety protocols during all tasks.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties around the facility to support a clean and organized environment.
- Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to requests for laundry services or special textile care needs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning, laundry operations, or textile care is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently using manual handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing laundry loads accurately.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, safety standards in production environments, and proper use of laundry detergents.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment confidently.
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols diligently and maintain a safe working environment.
