As a Convention Services Manager, you will be the driving force behind creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. Your dynamic role will involve coordinating and executing events that leave a lasting impression. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their vision and bring it to life, ensuring every detail is meticulously planned and executed. Your expertise in event marketing, customer service, and hospitality will shine as you lead the charge in delivering exceptional service.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement customized event plans that align with their objectives and budget.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Oversee all aspects of event planning, including logistics, catering, and guest services to ensure seamless execution.
- Utilize your marketing skills to promote events and upsell additional services that enhance the guest experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure all event requirements are met, from banquet services to technical support.
- Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the planning process, providing updates and gathering feedback.
Basic qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Proven experience in events management or hospitality roles, with a strong focus on customer service.
- Must be able to be on your feet for 6-8 hours
- Must be able to occasionally work outside of regular hours
Preferred qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation and budgeting.
- Experience in event marketing and upselling strategies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with catering services and restaurant operations.
- Background in guest services is a plus.
