Maintenance Planner
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities for machinery, equipment, and facilities - ensuring safe operation, quality production, and maximum asset availability. Tracks the inventory of spare parts - ensuring availability for routine and emergency maintenance. Works with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary tools, equipment, and parts. Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and potential problems, implementing maintenance strategies to improve reliability and extend the life of equipment. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Reviews equipment and machinery manuals to determine the preventative maintenance intervals.
- Manages planned work order backlog to keep at a minimum.
- Generates maintenance plans, task Lists, scheduled maintenance records, and new asset records.
- Coordinates with the Maintenance Supervisor, Production team members, and maintenance technicians to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Prepares and maintains a weekly preventative maintenance schedule.
- Utilize CMMS for work order management and spare parts inventory control.
- Coordinates and documents the use of vendor services when contractor labor is required.
- Maintains archived equipment maintenance records for internal & external compliance purposes.
- Verifies receipt of items by reconciling orders; resolves any errors with the supplier; forwards receiving documentation for payment
- Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job qualifications
- 5 years of work experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment is required.
- A four-year degree in a relatable field of study, such as Industrial Technology or Engineering, is preferred
- Ongoing/current Maintenance Training Certification(s), is/are preferred.
- Experience with MRO purchasing, CMMS, and inventory management required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required/Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Advanced user knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Basic understanding of business-related IT functions and operating systems.
Location:
Position will be in-office, based in Madera, California.
